My name is Jorge. I am mexican but for the moment I live and work in Sweden. I am a TV producer. In Mexico we founded and administrated a local TV station. I also worked as an independent video producer. Nowadays I work as a subtitling consultant in Sweden. We use Lemony and other subtitling tools to do our daily job.

About Lemony

Back in 2001, when I was a student in Sweden, we produced a video for the web. We wanted to subtitle it but we did not find any nice free software to do that. So I created my own subtitler Stream SubText. I put Stream SubText on my web page as freeware and noticed that many people downloaded it. So I decided to offer it as shareware.

In 2003 I decided to venture with a brand new subtitler. I wanted to put a mexican touch in this software, so I named it Lemony, because in Mexico we put lemon on everything! (well, chilli and salt too).
Lemony 3 was released in march 2004, and sold for a nominal fee. Since that, it has always been improved thanks to the tips and help of nice people around the world.

Exactly 4 years later, in april 2008, Lemony Pro appears. It took 2 years of development because I only used my spare time to develop it, besides it was totally re-programed.
Sonic Solutions got interested on Lemony, and now we together are promoting it. Debuting in Las Vegas NAB april 2008.
